Shortwave NT200

It is a high frequency unit that creates heat therapy which works on the proven frequency of 27.12Mhz. It has both continuous and pulsed modes.

The NT200 is an appliance for high frequency heat therapy that operates at the well proved frequency of 27.12 MHz (wave length 11 m). It enables the classical therapy in condenser and electromagnetic coil fields in both the continuous and the pulsed modes of operation and, therefore, it is suited for all heat therapy treatments in clinic as well as medical practice.

The use of high frequency energy for heat therapy has the advantage of larger penetration depth in contrast to conventional methods, such as hotpacks, baths, infrared light and heat pillows, and even to the microwave.

The heat endogenically generated by this technique induces a whole range of physiological processes which, for example, spasmodically influence the muscular system, tendons and other connective tissue structures, increase the cell metabolism and rate of enzyme reaction and improve the blood circulation in the area under treatment. High frequency heat therapy can be applied in a wide field:

  • all diseases where improvement of circulation, metabolism and soothing of pain are indicated
  • degenerative, soft part rheumatic and inflammable afflictions of the spine and the joints
  • pseudoradicular and radicular syndromes
  • chronic adnexitis, chronic myomatritis, adhesion troubles, mastitis
  • chronic pleunsy, bronchitis and sinusitis
  • Continuous and pulsed mode

In addition to the continues mode, the NT200 disposes of a pulsed mode which allows the application of high frequency energy through short but high energy shocks in order to increase the penetration depth.

Two classical ways of applications for a multitude of treatments

1. Condenser field application (according to Schliephake) to heat up body parts presenting fat and muscle tissues between the electrodes.

2. Coil field application for precise development of heat, foremost in the muscle tissue.
